Children's Special Health Services of the ND Department of Health, conducts comprehensive, statewide assessments of the health and related needs of children with special health care needs and their families in North Dakota. The complete assessment includes data from a variety of sources including secondary data, state and national family surveys, family focus groups, and provider surveys.

2004 CSHS Family Survey:

A written, mail survey completed by parents of children served by the Children's Special Health Services Unit.

National Survey of Children With Special Health Care Needs (2002):

A telephone survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control in order to assess the prevalence and impact of special health care needs among children and their families nationwide and in each state.

N.D. Family Focus Groups & Pediatric Provider Surveys (2004):
