How To Apply Applicants must submit the following documents to the North Dakota Department of Health, Office of Human Resources, 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Dept 301, Bismarck, ND 58505-0200:
Applications may be downloaded from the North Dakota Department of Health website at www.ndhealth.gov/HumanResources/. Applications are also available at any Job Service North Dakota office; call 800.247.0981 (in state) or 701.328.5000 (Bismarck) for more information. Applications are accepted only when a specific position has been announced. Applications must be submitted by the deadline stated on the job announcement. Methods of submitting applications include:
Applications will not be accepted after the closing date. Applications must be filed on a State of North Dakota Application for Employment Form (SFN 10950). Applicants will be considered for the position if the completed application is returned or postmarked by the deadline date. Applicants should fill out the application form as completely as possible. This information will be used to determine whether they meet minimum qualifications for that position and ultimately who will be interviewed. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of the state application form. When completing an application form, do not use "see resume" to save time and effort. This may affect the chances for an interview because there may not be as much information on the resume as on the application form. After the closing date, the applications are reviewed to assess whether the minimum qualifications have been met. Qualified applications are evaluated against the education, experience and preferences described on the job announcement. The applications are ranked and forwarded to the hiring manager for review and to schedule interviews with the candidates selected. Usually five to seven applicants are interviewed. After the interview process is complete, applicants are notified of selection or non-selection. For more information about the application process or future employment opportunities, please call the North Dakota Department of Health Office of Human Resources at 701.328.2392. The Relay North Dakota TDD number is 800.366.6888
An Equal Opportunity Employer The state of North Dakota does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, or disability in employment or the provision of services, and complies with the provisions of the North Dakota Human Rights Act.
