The links below provide resources for meeting facilitation, evaluation, and capacity that could be useful to agencies doing prevention work.
NSVRC Evaluation Toolkit: The toolkit was created for prevention workers at the local and state levels to increase the capacity to implement program evaluation for sexual violence prevention work by providing tools and guidance for both program implementers and those who support them.
The Technology of Participation (ToP®): teaches team members how to collaborate on projects and group facilitators how to effectively lead their team. ToP® provides methods that:
- Recognize and honor contributions of all
- Let a group deal with more data in less time
- Pool individual contributions into larger more informative patterns
- Welcome diversity while minimizing polarization and conflict
The TriEthnic Center for Prevention Research Community Readiness Model: The Community Readiness Model is an innovative method for assessing the level of readiness of a community to develop and implement prevention programming. It can be used as both a research tool to assess distribution of levels of readiness across a group of communities or as a tool to guide prevention efforts at the individual community level.
Free Resources for Program Evaluation and Social Research Methods: This page lists FREE resources for program evaluation and social research methods. The focus is on "how-to" do evaluation research and the methods used: surveys, focus groups, sampling, interviews, and other methods. Most of these links are to resources that can be read over the web. A few, like the GAO books, are for books that can be sent away for, for free (if you live in the US), as well as read over the web.
Free Management Library: This document provides guidance toward planning and implementing an evaluation process for for-profit or nonprofit programs there are many kinds of evaluations that can be applied to programs, for example, goals-based, process-based, outcomes-based, etc.
