Environmental Testing
The Environmental Laboratory supports the environmental protection functions of state government by performing bacteriological analyses of environmental samples including drinking water, surface water and waste water. The Laboratory provides these testing services for programs in the Environmental Health Division at the North Dakota Department of Health. The Laboratory also evaluates new analytical methods and provides technical training and lab certification at the request of its clients. The Environmental Laboratory ensures that testing capacity is available to support the public health and environmental protection objectives of the state. The Environmental Laboratory supports the milk testing program, in accordance with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, for the North Dakota Department of Agriculture. The Laboratory provides technical training and lab certification at the request of its clients.
