Sexually Transmitted Diseases
The Chlamydia and GC (Neisseria gonorrhea) Lab accepts both private and public samples to be tested for the presence of Chlamydia and GC infections. Molecular testing technology allows a single sample to be tested for both infections in either male or female patients. Both urogenital swabs and urine samples are acceptable for testing. Sample collection kits for this test are provided by the North Dakota Public Health Laboratory (NDPHL). Other sites of collection may be tested by alternative methods. Please refer to Chlamydia and GC Specimen Collection and Transport Procedures for source specific test method information.
Our laboratory also provides testing for many other commonly encountered
sexually transmitted diseases including HIV, Hepatitis, and Syphilis.
