North Dakota Certified Nurse
Aide
Nurse Aide Registry and Abuse Investigation
The Division of Health Facilities
is designated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services as the agency responsible for the registration
of certified nursing assistants (CNAs). In addition to
maintaining the registry, the Division receives and
investigates allegations of abuse in long term care
facilities. There are over 13,700
people registered to practice as certified nurse aides in
the state of North Dakota

CNA Training and Renewal Information
Guidelines for Renewals
The North Dakota Department of
Health, Division of Health Facilities has created a fact
sheet with 16 basic guidelines to help new and existing
CNA's understand the renewal process along with some examples.
Nurse Aide
Training and Competency Evaluation Program
The Division of Health Facilities
reviews and approves the certified nurse aide training programs
throughout the state. Currently there are approximately
57 of these training programs approved by the Division of
Health Facilities.
